Talent Advisor – Banking & Financial Services.
Graduating from High School in 2012 I began my professional career as a Bank Teller for St. George. After a year I made my way to Westpac where I worked in the North Sydney and Chatswood branches over the next two years. I decided to leave the bank and pursue a career in recruitment at the beginning of 2016 and came through Ambition’s Academy program.
I am a talent acquisition expert within financial services division of Ambition and I focus on sourcing the best candidates in the market for roles within the banking, wealth, funds management, custody and superannuation markets.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I’d say that the interaction I get to have with my candidates, clients and colleagues is what really stands out to me. Being able to liaise, work and learn from very talented people every day is something that this job has offered me that I have never experienced.
What’s your best piece of advice to job seekers?
This would have to be the way in which they position themselves to clients. As many candidates may never get the opportunity to talk directly with clients, I can guide them into using what they’ve done to show their tangible value to businesses.
Who has inspired you and why?
The biggest inspiration in my life so far would have to be my parents. The work they put in has inspired me to take what they’ve given me and use it to reach a level of success that reflects their effort and use that success to have a positive impact.
What does Ambition mean to you?
Ambition comes from within and is a feeling of having greater purpose than yourself, it isn’t taught or gifted to anyone. You have to be the one to drive your ambition and when you can, no one can stop you.
